Groundhog Day...

Sadly, we do seem to be in the midst of the movie Groundhog Day in this country. Each day brings news of more death and destruction in Iraq, every week there are more outrages to protest. If it seems like that to me, I can only imagine what it's like for our troops. Thank you all for standing with me week after week. Here are your photos from this week's protest. Thanks, as always, to my friend billyb for all the hard work. Oh, that snowman thing? Well, it didn't turn out as well as we'd hoped, as you can see, but he had a cool hat!

I love these people - they are amazing! To stand in the cold like that, to stand for peace and against war and torture and corruption and against the corporate machine that has stolen our country - these people are heroes and they help me to go on living... God bless them and all their counterparts throughout the world!

Dear, dear Lizzy, I feel the same way. My dream is to have a group like ours on every street corner in America.

Wow, you people do the rest of us proud. Found you through Lizzy at 922 Cats, and I'm putting you on my blogroll. I think lots of people become disheartened and think they're the only ones against the war because photos like these never appear in our (so NOT)beloved mainstream media.

Thank you! I was going to say thanks for being the first to blogroll us (to my knowledge), when I decided I'd better wander over and see what the Lovely Lizzy and those Darned Cats were saying about us. Looks like 922 Cats beat you, but not by much. ~: ) I will certainly return the favor, and I'll be sure to visit your blog frequently. After all, what could be better than politics and cats?

Seriously, your kind words are much appreciated. We have a great group of truly committed people, and we're not doing anything that couldn't be replicated on every street corner in the country.

Peace,

Pam
