Important Iraq News: It seems our good senior senator has teamed up with Senator Inouye of Hawaii to remove the withdrawal conditions from the next round of Iraq funding. Not good. Let's make sure he hears from us on this one. (Hat tip to Lizzy and billyb)

Also, a list of toll-free numbers to the congressional switchboard is always here on the right sidebar, as well as links to lots of other interesting resources you can use. I update the content regularly so it's worth scrolling down once in a while.

Yet Another Cost of War...

,We have to ask ourselves: "What are we subjecting our troops to in Iraq, and what will the long-term effects of this war be on so many lives?" This young man's story is but one example. There are hundreds of thousands of men and women, each with their own war stories, who either can't or won't speak out. What can we do to help and support them? Our immediate goal is to bring the troops home...we also need to give some thought to what we will do for them when they return. Watch it and weep...
