I never, ever watch Fox, but I came across this on the internets and had to share. Watch the Mayor of Lansing slap around this Faux News bloviator. There were a few good points he didn't have time to make (for instance, that $70 per hour UAW workers supposedly make is hogwash), but there's only so much you can do in 5 minutes. All in all a real ass whoopin'. Thank you Mr. Mayor. Nice.

In his gentlemanly way, Mr. Schieffer shames ABC for their relentless questioning of the Democratic candidates on such non-issues as their jewelery choices. Gibson and Stephanopolous deserve every bit of criticism they've received, and then some. Like I said in my email to ABC, my anger has nothing to do with my partisanship or support for a candidate, which I freely admit. It's about my unwillingness to accept their dumbing down of the debate in this country, and on Republican terms at that. ABC is not alone in shortchanging the public in this way, of course, but this latest example was jaw droppingly blatant. I hope the blowback serves as a lesson to the media, but I won't hold my breath.

Texas Republicans, with their notorious redistricting schemes, have made it harder for Democrats to vote. Or so they thought. When the students at Prairie View A&M University learned that their early-polling place was located more than seven miles from the school, what was their response? None other than to shut down the highway and march the seven miles to cast their votes on the very first day! The videos below illustrate the determination of these young people in particular, and the level of participation and excitement sweeping the country. Simply stunning.
