Last summer I attended the Yearly Kos Bloggers Conference in Chicago - it was the first time I missed our protest. I was in the audience when this question was asked of the candidates, as were my husband and my daughter. We were appalled at Senator Clinton's answer, and so was the rest of the crowd. Business as usual indeed.

Let It Snow...
We had a really good crowd this week...I'm thrilled that so many people were able to make it. I think it makes a profound statement when people see us out there freezing - they know we mean it! There was a lot of traffic this week, probably all the shoppers, and the positive responses we got were great. I love it when passers-by stop to talk to us or join us, and that happens almost every week. It does my heart good to know that in our own little way we are reaching out to our neighbors and perhaps effecting change. Many thanks to the gentleman who pulled up to our group, rolled down his window, and handed us a most generous donation to support what we are doing, then went on his way. It's not so much the money - though that was awfully nice - it's that he was willing to invest in us. Protesting isn't for everyone, for any number of reasons, but that people are willing to support us in other ways is important too. Thank you sir for taking the time to stop and for contributing to the cause!
