We Shall Overcome...

As always, Bill Moyers injects some perspective into the news of the day, and takes us back to a time in our not-so-distant past when he had a front row seat to history in the making. It's hard to believe that civil rights for all were being debated and resisted within my lifetime. Harder still to realize that we have so much more to do.

but the silence of our friends.” MLK

It's Time...

Join the call to close Guantanamo by wearing orange on Friday (and Saturday to the protest) and by signing the pledge here. Lots more information about what you can do at the ACLU website, fliers and posters to download, etc. It's been six years. This is the shame of our nation and it must be stopped.
It's time to close Guantanamo.
