I'm saddened and sickened by these latest four deaths. About all of them. I usually update the number sign only on Saturday mornings, right before we protest, but I updated it today. I had to paint over the entire thing, covering all four digits with white paint for the very first time since we started. 4,000. The sign is on my lawn. As horrific as this gruesome milestone is, it doesn't even take into account the number of troops coming home with brutal injuries, the hundreds of thousands of Iraqis killed, or the millions of refugees we've created. God help us. Please come on Saturday to stand for peace.
