Every day. Every single day, the number of American troops killed in Iraq rises. What are we as a country thinking? How can so many of my fellow citizens stand in silence? How could I have remained silent, for so long?
No more. I will stand in protest every week until our troops come home. Each week I will document here the current number of our brave men and women who have died in george's war. A very small gesture on my part of honor and mourning.
They deserve so much more.

Hi POE,
I'll stand with you,as will many more of us.
BillyB
I know you will...thanks buddy! Glad you were online tonight. See you tomorrow.
poe
awh, mom & dad looks so cute...thanks for the pictures billy b.
Thank you poe and Wyandotte Dems for planning the protests! I can't tell you how good it feels to stand up for what you believe in and help make others aware! Just think about all the conversations that turn to this occupation as they drive by our peaceful collection of concerned citizens. Come and join us, it is worth the one hour you give a week, especially when you consider the sacrifice so many of our brave US soldiers make every day!
Well said pinkyink! I'm sure you are right, lots of conversations are getting started because of our protests. See you Saturday!
I am just so proud of my kids.....
and the difference they are making!
Thanks Mom! Mostly for the values that you and Dad instilled in us, and for setting a good example. Democracy is not a spectator sport and it's time for us to be seen and heard!
And thanks Mom & Dad for coming to protest with us...you rock!
I just want to thank pinkyink for sharing this with me. I have sent this to everyone. It has got me thinking. Dee
Thanks Dee! Glad you're passing it on. That's the only way we're going to stop this thing, by sheer numbers of people wanting to do something. Check back later...I should have some pictures up from today's protest.
