Because Cruisin' Downriver is happening this weekend we have decided to move our protest location for Saturday, as we did last year, to the corner of Biddle and Eureka, near the fountain. It was kind of nice last time to do something a little different, and as I recall, we were joined by some new folks who have since become a regular part of the group. Same time, 12 o'clock noon. Bill will be there with the signs, and someone will go to Fort Street to spread the word for anyone who shows up there. Please pass this information along to anyone in the group who might not see this. See you Saturday!

Protesting With Two Members of Congress...
Now if we could just get the other 433 of them to stand with us! Thanks and a warm welcome to Congresswoman Carolyn Cheeks Kilpatrick and Congressman John Conyers, a protest regular, for acknowledging what we are doing and for spending some time with us. We hope they will take our message back to Washington, where Congress has just authorized another $165 BILLION in funding for Mr. Bush's Wars. This has just got to stop. My humble thanks to all of you who show up week after week, in the heat of summer and in the dead of winter, when there are plenty of other things you could be doing. We won't forget and we won't give up.
