FINALLY. Pennsylvania Weighs In...
Update at 10:00pm: 50% of Precincts Reporting
Clinton 54 Obama 46
Update at 8:50pm: NBC calls it for Clinton - the question now is by how much. Fingers crossed...
Update at 8:34pm: Too early to call - Clinton ahead.
Update at 8pm: Too close to call.
Waiting for the polls to close in less than an hour. It's been a long six weeks. My prediction: Hillary wins by 5 points, delegates are roughly split. If he somehow pulls out a win tonight, it's over. If she has the better night (which is likely) she slogs on and drags this out through at least Indiana. Sigh. Clinton 54 Obama 46

It's Spring Again, Like When We Started...
We had a decent crowd this week, considering that a lot of people were down at the convention, and the Friends of the Detroit River had an event Saturday as well. Hopefully next week the weather and the cause will bring out an even bigger crowd. To those of you who haven't been out in a while, we miss you and look forward to seeing you soon. We are now meeting on either side of Fort Street, on both the Wyandotte and Southgate sides, so we need more of us to make an impact! Here's this week's photos - thanks to billyb and Nancy.
Bob Schieffer on the Flag Pin Flap...
In his gentlemanly way, Mr. Schieffer shames ABC for their relentless questioning of the Democratic candidates on such non-issues as their jewelery choices. Gibson and Stephanopolous deserve every bit of criticism they've received, and then some. Like I said in my email to ABC, my anger has nothing to do with my partisanship or support for a candidate, which I freely admit. It's about my unwillingness to accept their dumbing down of the debate in this country, and on Republican terms at that. ABC is not alone in shortchanging the public in this way, of course, but this latest example was jaw droppingly blatant. I hope the blowback serves as a lesson to the media, but I won't hold my breath.
